SMOOTH MOVE SHERLOCK?

The best mysteries are Holmesian I thought reaching the top of the stairs when the strangely painted door opened I entered anyway. Intrigued by what the letter said to "be on time and enter anyway." As with most things if it wasn't about money why bother. Lawyers and all that. But for money you bug yourself.

I'd ridden the thirty miles from the airport arriving two hours after sunriseThen walked around this side of the lake. The same story all over the country. Hometown downtowns shrunk or dissolved. Essentially unable to access the successful gravy train known as the "local mall" that's become dislodged by delivery folks who'll soon enough be outbid by drones. Just when society figured out more ways to get at least this close to paying ourselves, the rug's still technically, officially, completely pulled out from under the rest of us? Mortgage sabotage framed large the story and excuse. While nothing's ever on the shelves that's not already accounted for. Hooray.

Not an actual office, the room felt suspicious. The lawyer's name "Yurmony" sounding like one to believe. He said, "Watching earlier confirmed" I was "still just 'day dreaming.'"

Useless aside, "This isn't an office," I said, "What's going on?"

Yurmony? "Yeah. Going on. About that."

Hardly good. A lawyer hedging. Prepping. Warming both of us up. The legal process feeling ruthlessly cold again and not the guardian of liberty hoped of her. The law. If there were anything better the goal of the law is to become that. How could I be in trouble for pointing out the obvious? Nicknaming aspects of the legal apparatus the Criminal Enterprise System isn't seditious. In fact patriotic Americans voice unpopular expressions especially when emphasis on that particular point changes the dynamics and lethargy that dominate the ideal of what the police mean in the United States. How come they see themselves as separate from other Americans? An occupying force? When we all need the Criminal Enterprise System reformed that's in the hands of the people's legislatures bless their souls.

The lawyer stared at me with that where's your mind at look, focus on him. Except he hadn't said anything while I'd at least rehearsed defending speech.

Finally Yurmony said, "Investigations turn up ghosts."

"Yeah?" I said, "History's how none of us are saints. Did you catch The New York Times essay Our Vietnam War Never Ended by USC professor Viet Thanh Nguyen? An objective America would want all points of view understood without all the reactionary jingoism that's given symbolic American license to overzealous nationalistic exploitation all over the world."

"See," Yurmony said. "Cryptic. The picture's complicated and people don't understand your meaning so you're just a trouble-maker. Not even soapbox tool."

"Patently absurd," I responded.

"But not far-fetched" he gleamed. Squeaking, "The satire's clues. PatternsRepetitions. IncitementsMmm. Wonder how much different opinion of you is than yours of yourself?"

"Submit my file." ...

(Robert) Moses' Legacy Requires Serious Touching Up
A few people live in the resplendent suburbs of Detroit and people feel the car did more for us than it took away. The asphalt transportation system was subsidized. Can Anyone Buy A Clue?
The entire system should have been properly upgraded and subsidized as was the traffic system which always claims to have ACCIDENTS every day. ALL THESE TRAGEDIES ARE MISTAKES. Not accidents. We need to get out of this financial insurance juggernaut that continues life as a series of gambles WHEN WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE SMARTER THAN THIS.
TRAFFIC Condolences. In the broader picture people take too much for granted and go too fast accepting a certain level of risk that stretches what's cautionary leading to what's called accidents but are really mistakes.
The Soapbox View is we built paradise without figuring out how to fit everyone in because blaming the economists was and still is such a lucrative political sport?
The Soapbox View Except for three weeks in Florida twenty-four years ago, I haven't pumped my own gas in thirty-four years. Pity apparently bicyclists aren't eligible to be presidents of the United States? Yet people wonder why? Why doesn't the biggest industry in the world participate in the future of energy, piddling around disputing with this concept that maybe the earth's not been destroyed enough? So the petal to the metal means where a candidate sits in relation to keeping American minds on the steering wheel? Presumably?
The Soapbox View In Detroit's Memory.
If cyclists on trails works as a direct route? Absolutely, as a cyclist I think that's right. But bikes go where they need to go and not where they're told. Whenever the issue is bikes are in the way the issue is molded to reflect the automobile's primacy which is the very reason it's such a b____ when the infrastructure needs fixed. It may not appear so, drivers being told to slow and give up space, but when it's all figured out, what 's better for bikes benefits everyone. Look where we are with the results of frustrated drivers.
The Soapbox View To the Train.  We're either proving we're smarter than what's not functioned properly or we aren't. TRANSITION WHO CAN'T AFFORD? Transportation molded to reflect the automobile's primacy is the very reason the infrastructure needs fixing. Traffic lanes up the ying-yang incessantly clogged. Why doesn't the biggest industry in the world participate in the future of energy? Piddling around disputing with this concept that maybe the earth's not been damaged enough? While being realistic is keeping the public's minds and consciousnesses on the steering wheel? So, in conclusion:
Those Star Trek transporter gizmos can't get here fast enough, huh? While William Shatner trying the first would prove how smart we are. The advancement of the Transportation Enterprise System wouldn't prove anything? ECONOMISTS' BOXES FOR EVERYONE! Corruption's as legal as it needs to be. Perfect time to not beat around the bush anymore. Expendable pawns useless to the machine. Not what we've become but always were. Capitalism functioning properly would have no problem applying socialism where warranted. End The Hypocrisy! In the broader picture? Chasing inflation never solved increasing inflation. Why aren’t economists smarter than this relentless make-believe-game of catch-up? Remember the deceased name in America, Woolworth's? The Five and Dime. New York City’s Woolworth Building on Broadway was built by the public's nickels and dimes commemorating capitalism's strengths.
Then civilization gradually woke up to every child’s only seeing the value of paper money and everything went digitally berserk. Why not a $15 minimum wage and more? Evidence is it won’t work any better than $5 or $10 ever did. End inflation or the madness never will.
Road Blocks For Everybody?
Driving is too hazardous in general. Habitual tail gaiting at every speed. Liberty is taken advantage until "oops" a mistake. Condolences. Since the question is can? The answer is undoubtedly. Could undoubtedly. Will? Requires a prediction and political involvement The Soapbox View does not want to take. Rent the chair out where it sits. Evenings on a schedule when the executive isn't working? You can see how finding a market for this hot chair was a predicament for the thieves. If people could afford to be honest all the time, would they be?

Ditto. Surely there's a wider-angled shot of this work of ART? And time for waking up from The Criminal Enterprise System to becoming a real civilization?
One thing about history is there's always tomorrow. In a world of denial Turkey's hardly the leader of the pack. Time civilization grew up. No Señor?
Please Turkey handle the hurdle and rise above history's tragedies as all should.
Like saying there'll be earthquakes. Bunch of nutjobs encouraging themselves to explode. So heave more kindling on the fire? Maybe what calls itself The Press should ask better questions? The Soapbox View If relations with Ukraine prosper? If ruthlessness isn't the only barometer.
Truth is only true through enough money? Humanity has technically not advanced one iota.
May war die.
Imagine war rendered fruitful or just oxymoronic.
Dissecting tragedy is the only way out.
Has society become friendlier than ever thought possible? Or somewhere behind all this effervescent happiness lies a façade. CEASE FIRE FOREVER! The Soapbox View May innocence rise from the treacherous madness of modern war. That war is this hideous is still not a surprise.
The Soapbox View is it shouldn't matter what Tony Blair possesses. Maybe the only way there'll be real financial progress, is the actually stopping of inflation's diddling with what little everyone else has. Just can't seem to manufacture make believe money fast enough to satisfy every shark? We're this smart and not enough money to go around. This is a land of confusion. Heard that before.
Sharing the military wealth is more to the point. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE
“It’s a suicide trap.”
Well here are once again. Russia a generation removed from war and America on an almost auto-pilot where it's not patriotic to oppose anymore. China a powerful responsibility. So without history's rhetorical generation removed from catastrophic war, The Chesters Are At It Again. TESTING THE TOYS. Quoting Russian and Soviet Historian,
